Speed & Agility

Separate. A motto uniting our movement ideology with the goal our athletes have towards their competition. Ethic Sports Performance places a premium on speed, movement efficiency and mechanics.  Education is our lifeline. Teaching athletes how to adopt and reproduce the most advantageous patterns and positions will allow for transference to the court, field, or track. While teaching movement skills is the basis of skill acquisition, Ethic staff also appreciates the classic sport science principle of “overload.” Choosing the appropriate exercises and placing the body in the right positions while loading or applying pressure essentially allows an athlete to increase their output and stress their muscles/tendons/tissues in a manner which further optimizes strength and power. While learning and competing in our ninety-minute group or team training sessions, athletes will be led by an Ethic Performance Coach and exposed to qualities and skills such as:

·       Acceleration

·       Maximum Velocity

·       Change of Direction

·       Agility

·       Power (Olympic Lifts, Med Ball throws, jumps)

·       Strength (Relative, Maximal, Eccentric, Isometric, Repetitive)

·       Mobility

·       Core/Hip/Shoulder Stability

·       Work Capacity

·       Functional Movement Patterns

Youth, high school, and collegiate training sessions utilize Ethic programming that has led to the development of thousands of athletes including 100’s of Division 1, 2 and 3 students from EVERY major conference and sport. We place a premium on mobility. Our warmup is a foundational cornerstone. Ethic staff adapts their training program towards the needs of their athletes. Athletes looking to maximize their off-season may train at our facility 3-4 days a week. Many of our athletes also use Ethic as a supplement to their schools’ program. This allows us to fill in the training gaps, address limiting factors, and provide a more intimate environment geared towards technique and speed.

Separate. Soar. Succeed.
